This derelict zone, nestled between Shuncheng Gate and Duxing 10th Village, serves as the literal "hinterland of the vanished city walls" of Magong. Stripped of the artificial polish found in typical cultural parks, this site reveals a raw historical cross-section: the coral-stone (Lǎogū stone) remnants of Qing Dynasty fortifications, the skeletal frames of Japanese colonial military quarters, and the cramped red-brick alleys added by Nationalist military families. Together, they form a "backstage of time" weathered by relentless salty gales. Rather than viewing it as a mere abandoned corner, this area should be introduced as an unedited material history of Penghu. It documents the transition of power from "strategic fortress" to "civilian settlement," offering a firsthand look at how island architecture struggled to survive amidst extreme climates and shifting political regimes.鐵路局台北機廠澡堂
