  1. Thatched Houses

89 BesucheThe UK is covered in these traditional thatched homes and roofs. People choose to live in thatched houses despite the high insurance premiums. These can be many times more expensive than a traditional home, especially if you own a wood burner or open fireplace. This central asset used to be an old toll house. This one is well know as it is on the way to a large stone circle called Stanton Drew in Somerset, GB. The hares on the roof are the signature of the thatchers who make them.
  2. Stones Of Our Ancestors

45 BesucheThese markers were left behind from days when people used them as calendars and temples. Allegedly, they were even navigation markers to get around from one part of the land the to the other. My 2025 article on this can be found here : https://blog.lidarnews.com/iphone-lidar-scanning-apps/. The knowledge of their other uses is speculative and there are lots of them around the UK and the world. The burial chamber on the stage would have been covered by chunks of quartz crystal rocks (and later turf) and is called Evan's Village (Pentre Ifan). It's located near the quarry for the blue stones of Stonehenge in Preseli, Wales.
  3. The Navax Gallery

36 BesucheA test with one of my 3D worlds generated in Marble from a 360 image and a prompt.
  4. Apple Orchard

30 BesucheA scene from one of the many apple orchards near me in the cider making county of Somerset, UK.
  5. Crop Circles

23 BesucheI've been in a few of these over the last ten years and they never cease to amaze me with their intricate patterns and size. Rumour has it that they are man made with people using planks and ropes and line of sight, even stilts. I can't see the evidence for those theories but there have been documentaries showing these people using these methods. This central circle appeared on the summer solstice 2026 near where I live.
  6. Samhain (Halloween)

19 BesucheSamhain is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of the "darker half" of the year. It also marks the 45 days between autumnal Equinox and Winter solstice. Like Beltane on May 1st, Samhain blurs the veil between our world and the Otherworld, inviting contact with spirits and faeries. Rooted in Celtic paganism, Neolithic tombs in Britain and Ireland align with Samhain's sunrise. In the modern era, traditions include grand gatherings, feasts, and open burial mounds as portals to the beyond. It's also the Scottish Gaelic name for November. Like Beltane (1st May) Samhain is a threshold festival, when the boundary between this world and the Otherworld blurred, making contact with the 'spirits' or 'faeries’. At Samhain, the ancestors were appeased with offerings of food and drink to ensure the people and livestock survived the winter. The souls of dead kin were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality, and a place was set at the table for them during a meal. Samhain is believed to have Celtic pagan origins, and some Neolithic passage tombs in Great Britain and Ireland are aligned with the sunrise at the time of Samhain. Samhain is mentioned in the earliest Irish literature, from the 9th century, and is associated with many important events in Irish mythology. The early literature says Samhain was marked by great gatherings and feasts and was when the ancient burial mounds were open, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld. The festival was not recorded in detail until the early modern era. It was when cattle were brought down from the summer pastures and livestock were slaughtered. Special bonfires were lit, which were deemed to have protective and cleansing powers. This place is called Wistman's wood on Dartmoor in the UK. It is considered one of the most haunted places in the UK.
  7. Glastonbury Abbey Ruins

13 BesucheThe ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset, UK. This is is all that is left of the greatest and most beautiful of all the UK's abbeys I'll be adding other figures to this area in the future.
  8. Abstract Swirls and Mystical Landscapes

12 BesucheA few years back went a bit mental with Dalle3 and creating colourful images with it. Recently, while going through my AI stock I decided to experiment by dropping them into #Marble (theworldlabs) and this was one of the results of 4 of them as a world.

8 BesucheI started my journey in 3D in 2020 (Aged 52) with app on my phone and lots of practice. Today 3D resolution creates the exact scene or object that you're looking at in real life. 3D Scanning is fun and enjoyable and platforms like this one allow you to build your own worlds and hang out in them or share them in VR through a browser link without the need download an app.
