Sample Splats created by Mark JeffcockSunken Garden, Villa Frere
Villa Frere is on the Pieta waterfront in Malta. In the 1820s it was owned by John Hookham Frere and his wife. They converted the slopes behind the villa into a fine Neoclassical English landscape garden. After much restoration work by 'The Friends of Villa Frere' much of the garden has been restored or re-imagined into a pleasant set of intimate spaces. This area is known as the 'Sunken garden'.Aldeburgh Scallop
Scallop is a sculpture work by British artist Maggi Hambling. It is located not far from Aldeburgh on an isolated stretch of the shingle beach.Taste Malta
My holiday photogrammetries from an extended holiday in Malta, Q2 2025. 'Taste Malta' is a small, fine food shop in Birgu. I'm using their name as it described this experience of sampling a few Maltese places. Also, it fits in the space between the trees here in Apparition Square.Forge in Malta
An intriguing abandoned building in Malta. The main structure seems to be from the 1700s, but I think it might have been repurposed as a forge during WWII. A day after I scouted the site, there was bored guard outside, I think the area was going to be used as a location shot for 'Enola Holmes 3'.Prospect Tower
The Prospect Tower is a small flint folly built in about 1808 for General Harris of Seringapatam on his estate of Belmont Park in Kent. Currently leased to the Landmark Trust, which offers it for rent as a holiday home.iPhone
