The Big Umbrella Pine of Hagiwara is located in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. Legend has it that this magnificent pine grew from a potted plant gifted by the lord of Maebashi Castle. Estimated to be over 400 years old, the tree reaches a height of about 7 meters with a wide canopy spanning approximately 20 meters. Remarkably, owner family is said to have moved their house back three times over the generations to allow space for the tree's thriving growth.
