This Opus Lab Workshop Space "Graham Street" illustrates several approaches to 3DGS reconstruction of Graham Street, Central, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. We used the XGRIDS PortalCam to make a SLAM-based reconstruction, which proved particularly challenging as it was performed at nighttime. We also used Marble Mini and Plus (0.1) by World Labs, SHARP by Apple and Hunyuan World-Mirror by Tencent to reconstruct part of the street based on a single photo uploaded as a prompt. These three methods demonstrate different approaches to generating 3D reconstructions, ranging from real-world multi-frame and multi-spectral capture, through text and image prompting (cloud-processed), to local 3DGS generation based on a single photo.
