Splatworlds by Carla Knopp - Large floating title text names the work above a dark circular exhibition room. The creator placed multiple framed wall artworks with individual labels (e.g., "Conjured Form", "VoiceFields", "Regenesis") and a central low circular interactive sculpture or display with a kneeling avatar-like figure.

Around 2014 Carla Knopp transitioned from traditional painting into virtual world building, using game environments to build immersive environments. Newer processes such as Gaussian splatting lend a fluidity to building these worlds, similar to painting in process and aesthetics. These Hub suites demonstrate 3 approaches for using splats in art-making. Presented at Immersive X 2025, Session: "Creating Artworks With Gaussian Splats", Nadia Bey, Carla Knopp, Lisa Egger
