Avenue Eglé, Maisons-Laffitte, France — a walk through one of the defining avenues of the historic Parc de Maisons-Laffitte, a 19th-century residential estate developed from the former grounds of the Château de Maisons. The route begins at the former gates of the Parc and follows the broad, tree-lined avenue past the Monument de la Victoire, inaugurated in 1923 to commemorate the First World War, with its allegorical female figure of Victory. Further along stands the traditional wooden carousel, a familiar local landmark, before the avenue reaches its intersection with Avenue Albine, marked by an ornamental fountain.
